Vilonia 7, Rogers Heritage 6

Vilona scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally past the Lady War Eagles in nonconference action.

Heritage (9-10) led 3-0 after one inning and 6-4 heading inot the bottom of the seventh, but couldn’t hold on. Brittney Dean, Lora Brown and Allyson Fultz had three hits each and drove in a run. Dean had two doubles and scored a run, while Brown had a double and scored twice for the Lady War Eagles, who banged out 15 hits.

Farmington 3, Greenwood 1

The Lady Cardinals needed just one inning to take control, and a three-run sixth inning did it in a big win Friday at home.

Farmington’s Paige Devecsery and Greenwood’s Kaila Cartwright locked up in a terrific pitching duel with each holding their opponent in check. Devecsery allowed just three hits and struck out four to earn the win in the circle. Cartwright allowed six hits and struck out six.

Greenwood struck first in the top of the second inning as Hayes walked and scored on a Hayes single.

That was all the scoring until the sixth when the Lady Cardinals (17-7) finally got to Cartwright.

Callie Harper got the rally started with a lead-off single, and Farmington took the lead with one swing of Carley Antwine’s bat as her two-run home run sailed over the right field fence for a 2-1 lead.

With two outs, Paige Anderson walked and was replaced in the base by Madison Parrish, who stole second and scored on Devecsery’s RBI single for a 3-1 lead.

Devecsery made the lead stand up, working around a hit batter to earn the complete-game win.

The Lady Cardinals will return to action on Tuesday at Clarksville.

Gravette 16, Berryville 0

Sumer Kaba doubled, tripled and drove in four runs as the Lady Lions routed Berryville.

Kaba was 3-for-4 to pace Gravette’s 12-hit attack. Gabbi Curtis was 3-for-4 with a double, and Hannah Cole tripled and drove in two runs.

Freshman Cally Kildow allowed just two hits and struck out 12 to earn the win.
