A 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision Tuesday night in northeast Arkansas, according to police.

The wreck happened around 9:10 p.m. as Christopher Harrison of Corning was traveling east on East Johnson Avenue in Jonesboro, a Jonesboro Police Department report states.

Authorities say the driver of a GMC Terrain, Caleb King, 21, of Jonesboro, failed to yield to Harrison's Buell Blast motorcycle while attempting to turn south onto University Loop.

King's SUV then struck the motorcyclist in a head-on crash, according to the report.

Medical personnel arrived a short time later and requested the coroner, police said.

Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene by the Craighead County coroner.

A pedestrian died early Tuesday after he was struck by an 18-wheeler and another vehicle while crossing Interstate 30 in Little Rock, officials said.

The man was attempting to cross the westbound lane of the interstate near an intersection with Geyer Springs Road when he was struck by a 2017 Freightliner and a 2003 Lincoln Town Car, according to an Arkansas State Police report. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Pulaski County Coroner Gerone Hobbs identified the man killed as Ray Neal, 53, of Little Rock.

No one else was reported injured in the wreck.

Conditions were clear and dry at the time of the accident, police said.

A 33-year-old Arkansas driver died in a wreck Monday after her vehicle hit two tractor-trailers, authorities said.

Amanda V. Herring of McCrory was driving a 1997 Nissan Pathfinder south on Arkansas 17 around 2:40 p.m. when she sideswiped one truck and ran into the rear axle of another, according to an Arkansas State Police report. No one else was injured in the crash, police said.

The two Freightliners were headed north on Arkansas 17 in Jackson County, according to the report.

Conditions were listed as clear and dry at the time of the wreck.
