BATESVILLE -- Zack Griffin passed for two touchdowns and ran for another and Cedric Hall ran for a pair of scores as Batesville (2-2, 1-0 5A-East) held off Nettleton (3-1, 0-1).

Griffin passed for 259 yards, completing 9-of-26 attempts. He threw a 66-yard scoring pass to Kylan Robinson and a 16-yard touchdown to Cole Duncan. Griffin also scored on a 1-yard quarterback sneak.
Hall rushed for 156 yards on 15 carries and scored on runs of 80 and 67 yards. Robinson had 5 receptions for 183 yards and rushed 8 times for 88 yards and an 11-yard touchdown.
Joel Parker ran for a 5-yard touchdown, and Tyler Robinson ran 34 yards for another touchdown for the Pioneers.
Nettleton's Deondre Henry passed for 264 yards, completing 13-of-24 attempts. Henry passed for three touchdowns -- 68 yards to Jaron Northern, 43 yards to Will Joyner and 47 yards to Jarquavious Cain.
Melvin Isom led Nettleton in rushing with 183 yards on 10 carries and a 3-yard touchdown. Detravion Turner ran for 162 yards on 13 carries and scored on runs of 82 and 2 yards.
