New Eagle Scouts

Dylan Richardson, 18, is the son of Dennis and Carri Arman of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 395 at the St. James Methodist Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Dylan resurfaced a trail with gravel and added safety rails to a wooden bridge at a park in the Echo Valley Homeowners Association of Little Rock.

Jack Curtis, 17, is the son of John and Kathy Curtis of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 30 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Jack refurbished a greenhouse for the students at St. Anthony School to use in their science classes.

Andrew Pequignot, 16, is the son of William and Denise Pequignot of Hot Springs. He is a member of Troop 65 at the Piney Grove Methodist Church in Pearcy. For his Eagle Project, Andrew led Troops 2 and 65 in the construction of bat houses for the Mid-America Science Museum in Hot Springs.

Erik Nieman, 17, is the son of Holly and Lawrence Nieman Jr. of Hot Springs. He is a member of Troop 1 at the First Presbyterian Church of Hot Springs. For his Eagle Project, Erik built and installed a flood bridge for the rain garden at the Hot Springs Intermediate School.

Alister Brown, 18, is the son of Neva and Dusty Brown of Conway. He is a member of Troop 435 at the Greenbrier First United Methodist Church. For his Eagle Project, Alister built two trellises for the Melton Cotton City Event Center in Greenbrier.

Christian Baldwin, 18, is the son of Jeremy Baldwin and Kimberly Middaugh of Sherwood. He is a member of Troop 18 at the First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Christian built dig boxes for Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park to give children on field trips the chance to experience digging for artifacts.

Miles Wilson, 18, is the son of Haley and Michelle Wilson of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 395 at the St. James United Methodist Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Scout Project, Miles created a meditation and prayer garden for Chenal Valley Church in west Little Rock, including landscaping and installing a bench and water feature.

Andrew Barker, 14, is the son of Celeste and Patrick Barker of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 7705 at Catholic High School for Boys in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Andrew built several beehives for St. Joseph's Center in North Little Rock to start an apiary.

Michael Halpin, 18, is the son of Kevin and Kristen Halpin of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 604 at the Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Michael built an artists station and refinished the the counters for the local charity, Mamie's Poppy Plates.

Reed Wallace, 15, is the son of Mack and Vicki Wallace of Maumelle. He is a member of Troop 295 at the First United Methodist Church of Maumelle. For his Eagle Project, Reed refurbished, repaired, and painted hallways at Troop 295's chartered organization, the First United Methodist Church of Maumelle.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette would like to recognize the accomplishments of new Eagle Scouts by publishing their profiles and pictures.
