ASU gets victory in exhibition opener

Rashad Lindsey made four three-pointers while scoring 16 points, Devin Carter added 15 and Arkansas State won its first exhibition game under Coach Grant McCasland, 76-59 over Arkansas-Monticello on Thursday night in Jonesboro.

Lindsey, one of eight newcomers who played Thursday, also collected eight rebounds and two assists while playing a team-high 29 minutes for the Red Wolves.

Forward Salif Boudie added 10 points and Jahmiah Simmons had 14 rebounds.

Derylton Hill had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Boll Weevils, while Cobe Goosby had 13 points and 13 rebounds.
