Bike playground to open with ceremony

BENTONVILLE -- The Parks and Recreation Department will open the Bentonville Bike Playground at 10 a.m. Nov. 5.

A ribbon cutting will be at 10:30 a.m., according to a news release. The public is invited to attend the celebration that will include demonstrations, live music, giveaways and refreshments.

The 1-acre bicycle playground was made possible through contributions from the Walton Family Foundation and Visit Bentonville. Playground features include tunnels, bridges and a pump track to help riders of all ages develop cycling skills.

The playground is north of the Bark Park. Parking for the event is available at 2400 N. Walton Blvd.
