John Treat, a doctoral candidate in history at the University of Arkansas, was named director of development for the Honors College. He reports to Lynda Coon, dean of the Honors College. Treat provides strategic oversight of fundraising for the Honors College and their Campaign Arkansas volunteer committee.

Eileen Jennings was named the 2016 Commercial Banker of the Year by the Central Arkansas chapter of The Risk Management Association during its annual convention in Little Rock last month. Jennings, a commercial banker for Arvest Bank in Fayetteville, also was promoted to senior vice president, area loan manager for the Joyce Street location.

J.R. Shaw, executive director of Visit Rogers, the Convention and Visitors Bureau division of the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, was elected to a two-year term on the board of the Southeast Tourism Society. Shaw, who has been at the helm of Visit Rogers since March 2015, will serve through 2018.

Matt Chambers joined retail agency TPN as vice president, strategic planning, in its Bentonville office. Chambers will lead TPN's data and analytics practice to enhance the agency's capabilities in precision targeting.

Melissa Berryhill joins TPN Bentonville as vice president. Berryhill will partner with TPN's Bentonville office lead, John Meyer, to focus on new business growth and provide senior strategic support for key accounts. The new position follows the agency's Bentonville office expansion in April.
