SILOAM SPRINGS -- El Dorado took a big step toward qualifying for the Class 6A playoffs with a victory over Siloam Springs at Panther Stadium.

El Dorado (4-4, 2-3 6A-West) has a one game lead for fifth place on Siloam Springs (1-7, 1-4), Sheridan and Texarkana going into the final two games of the season.

The Wildcats punished Siloam Springs on the ground, rushing for 338 yards on 49 carries. The Wildcats also had 115 yards through the air to finish with 453 yards of offense.

El Dorado got a score from its defense as well and built up a 42-6 lead with 5:44 left in the third quarter when Jarius Curry scored on an 11-yard run to enforce the Arkansas Activities Association sportsmanship rule.

Jarius Curry had 117 rushing yards on 10 carries for El Dorado, and Richard Kesee had 110 yards on 12 carries and 4 touchdowns.
