PRAIRIE GROVE --Homecoming turned into another Disney feature at Prairie Grove Friday night.

Isaac Disney had interception returns of 25 and 48 yards as Prairie Grove pulled away for a 42-21 victory over Pea Ridge at Tiger Stadium. Prairie Grove (7-0, 4-0) remained unbeaten while handing Pea Ridge (6-1, 3-1) its first loss of the season.

Disney showed again why he is one of the top playmakers in the area. He intercepted passes, blocked a punt, returned a punt 39 yards, and caught passes for the Tigers, who've won 16 consecutive in the regular season. But Friday was the first time the senior had two interception returns for a touchdown in the same game.

Disney's first return came in the second quarter on a play where quarterback Jakota Sainsbury appeared to be trying to throw the ball out of bounds.

"I was running deep with the receiver and Sainsbury had nowhere to go with the ball," Disney said. "He tried to throw it out of bounds but he didn't get enough on it. I was able to snag it, stay in bounds, and take it in for the score."

PLAYER OF THE GAME

Disney, of course. Offense, defense, special teams, the senior does it all for the Tigers. He even topped last week's performance when he caught two touchdown passes and had an interception to set up another score against Shiloh Christian.

PLAY OF THE GAME

Disney may not make an easier interception than the one he had in the second quarter against Pea Ridge.

Disney plucked a lob pass out of the air and ran it back to break a 14-14 tie late in the second quarter. Disney added another interception return in the second half when Prairie Grove stretched its lead to 42-14.

HANDS OF STONE

Prairie Grove and Pea Ridge each dropped potential interceptions in the first quarter before a lineman for the Tigers showed them how to complete the play.

Defensive tackle Jake Stone intercepted a screen pass in the middle of the field and returned it to the Pea Ridge 20-yard line before he was wrestled down. The Tigers then score to take a 7-0 lead.

Stone's capable hands shouldn't be surprising, considering he has also played tight end for the Tigers.

TIGER ROYALTY

Senior Camree Bartholomew was crowned homecoming queen at Prairie Grove Friday night. Bartholomew is a returning point guard the Lady Tigers, who finished 25-5 last season.

GREEN ACRES

The Prairie Grove School Board voted in September to purchase 61 acres across the street from the high school for $1 million dollars.

Allen Williams, superintendent of schools, said there are no immediate plans for the plans for the land, which is just south of the high school that was completed twelve years ago. The Prairie Grove basketball teams use a new gym that opened on campus last fall, but the football team still plays at the stadium on the north end of town.

"There are no specific plans, but it was the last big piece of property right here near the school," Williams said of the purchase. "Basically, this is for the next 30 years and whatever development might happen. We knew we were going to need it, eventually."

ROY RECOVERY

Prairie Grove athletic director Tommy Roy is away and still recovering after blood clots were discovered in his system about four weeks ago.

"The (doctors) are having a hard time trying to figure out what's causing the problems," Williams said. "I talk to Tommy every so often and we're hopeful he'll be back at some point."

In the meantime, Williams and high school principal Ron Bond are mostly handling the responsibilities for Roy, who could be back by next semester.

"It's all hands on deck, and we've got some good head coaches who know what's going on," Williams.
