FAYETTEVILLE — The upscale Taco Bell on Dickson Street will have a Missouri-based sandwich shop chain next door.

Pickleman’s Gourmet Cafe, which serves sandwiches, soups, salads and pizza, will move to the eastern half of the former Common Grounds space, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page. Fayetteville Development Services Director Jeremy Pate confirmed the interior of 410 W. Dickson St. is being demolished for a sandwich shop.

Pickleman's is slated to open in early 2017, according to the Facebook post.

The franchise owner will be Allen Willis, according to a Pickleman’s representative.

The western half of the space at 412 W. Dickson St. will become a Taco Bell Cantina. Fort Smith-based KMAC Enterprises announced in May it would bring the tapas-style concept of the national brand to Dickson Street by the end of this year.

Common Grounds, a locally owned coffee shop and restaurant, opened in 1997 and closed in February.

Monroe Dickson, LLC bought the Common Grounds space for $1.3 million in April, according to property records online.
