Gun ownership threatened if Clinton is elected

In an era when the Constitution of the United States was being honored and upheld, we didn’t have to worry our freedoms would be taken away. In today’s world and the government we have at present, that is not the case.

I believe Hillary Clinton, despite what she says, will eventually attempt to ban private ownership of guns and overturn the Second Amendment.

It would be relatively easy. All she has to do is get one more activist judge on the Supreme Court to reverse the Heller and McDonald decisions — no more Second Amendment and no more personal gun ownership for self-protection. The carnage would make Chicago look like a Sunday school picnic in comparison. No law is going to keep guns out of criminals’ and terrorists’ hands. The gun banners know this, but still they actively push the big lie. Why do they really want to disarm the American people?

We would be as helpless as the people of North Korea, Syria and other countries where only the bad people have weapons.

Let’s take a chance on Trump. He has some good ideas and I believe if we keep Republicans in the House and Senate, he can get a lot done. He also has a good man as running mate and that could make a difference.

Otherwise, only God can help us and He has probably decided to let us destroy ourselves.

Poor, needy here need help

before other nations

The newspaper reported on Sept. 24 “U.S pledges $133 million to aid refugees.” Do we have to beg or cry for help for our “own?” The homeless, the elderly, U.S. veterans, low-income people and so on. And oh yeah, folks on Social Security. When do we obtain help to keep from being tossed aside?

Many people on low incomes or on Social Security should not get a 1 or 2 percent raise; why not at least 10 percent? Oh, no, our government would rather help other countries that deep down hate us and would rather see us drown in our ignorant ways.

Talking to many folks, I find the agreement is the very same: The rich are richer and the poor and low-income people are out on the streets and our high officials always turn left and never “right!”

Many of us are very sad to see what will be in 10 or 20 years from now.

God bless the people of the United States of America and those who put us on the back burner. Let’s just say we’ll pray for you.
