BELLA VISTA -- Voters in Bella Vista chose Linda Lloyd over Jerry Snow to take the Ward 1, Position 1 seat on the City Council.

Lloyd and Snow faced each other in a runoff Tuesday after no one in the three-way race received a majority of the votes in the Nov. 8 general election. In that contest, Lloyd finished first and Snow finished second. George Tracy finished third in the general election voting.

Lloyd, a six-year resident of Bella Vista, campaigned on her educational and professional background, with a master's degree in regional planning and more than 40 years experience in real estate.

Snow, who has lived in Bella Vista for 21 years is a business owner with prior experience in city government, having been elected to the City Council in 2012 after being appointed to fill an unexpired term.

Voters in Garfield also settled the makeup of their City Council, choosing Jim Teeselink over Leonard Matthew Jr. in a runoff for the Ward 3, Position 2 seat on the Garfield City Council.
