Washington Regional Foundation lauded long-time donors, board members and other supporters at the Legacy, Leadership and Loyalty reception Nov. 1 at the Pat Walker Center for Seniors in Fayetteville and welcomed them to the inaugural Legacy Society.
Jane Gearhart, foundation board chairwoman, told those gathered, "What a jewel and asset we have in this community in this hospital."

TheatreSquared celebrated arts advocates at its 10th annual Gala for Education and Access on Nov. 3 at the Fayetteville Town Center.
The theater group recognized Mary Ann and Reed Greenwood as the 2016 Arts Advocates of the Year "for their tremendous support of TheatreSquared as well as their leadership and generosity to other Northwest Arkansas cultural institutions and events."
Jessica Kropp, Mena High School dramatic arts teacher, was presented the 2016 Arts Educator of the Year Award. Kropp thanked patrons, saying she is the only dramatic arts teacher in Polk County. TheatreSquared programs help her introduce her students to the arts. "Theater creates a home for kids. They find empathy and have more confidence in themselves."
The evening concluded with the unveiling of plans for the nonprofit organization's new 50,000-square-foot permanent home at the corner of West Avenue and Spring Street in Fayetteville.
Those celebrating arts education and access and new building plans included Lee and Beverly Bodenhamer, Terrye and Patric Brosh, Sandy Edwards, Rosemary and George Faucette, Susan and Orville Hall, Judy and Bill Schwab and Barbara Taylor.
More than 200 backers helped Circle of Life Hospice raise $275,000 at the Art of Hospice on Nov. 5 at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville.
That evening the nonprofit organization presented the inaugural Pat Walker Commitment to Care Award to Mary McKinney, Circle of Life chief executive officer.
Sharon Young, Circle of Life volunteer, was presented the Bernice Young Jones Award for her commitment to and advocacy for the group.
Among those helping hospice were Marlene and Hector Gonzalez, Meredith and Patrick Woodruff, Rhonda Woodruff, Jeretta and Horace Hardwick, Lisa and Jim Blount, Sue and David Van Bebber, Mandy Macke, Shirley and Pete Esch, Joyce and David Pollard, Dee and John Lea and Missy Clifton.
