North Little Rock police spokesman Sgt. Brian Dedrick said officers were called to the Bank of England branch at 11044 U.S. 165 around 10:20 a.m. in reference to a robbery.

An arrest report said that in a note given to a bank teller, Jonathan Allen Shavers said he had a weapon and demanded money before taking an undisclosed amount and fleeing,

Dedrick said a vehicle linked to Shavers was later seen at a Shell convenience store in the area of West 56th Street and Interstate 30 in Little Rock.

Shavers was arrested at the gas station on a charge of aggravated robbery, according to authorities.

Police said Shavers, who remained at the Pulaski County jail without bail Wednesday evening, admitted to robbing the bank.

No injuries were reported in the robbery, Dedrick said.
