Transportation feedback sought by Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE — Residents can say online what they think Fayetteville’s transportation network needs and where its priorities should be for the next several years.

The city and Nelson / Nygaard Consulting Associates have been working since March on a mobility plan that will guide street, cycling, pedestrian and downtown parking projects. The process includes public input sessions and other meetings. The city’s also running an online survey and interactive map for people to pinpoint their priorities until June 17, according to a city news release.

The short survey is at www.surveymonkey.com/r/ FayettevillePreference.

The wikimap can be found at wikimapping.com/wikimap/Fayetteville-Mobility-Study.html.

The city also encouraged residents to use #whichwayfay on social media to have an online conversation on the mobility plan.

Fayetteville hired Nelson/ Nygaard for $600,000 to put together the plan and take all modes of transportation into account. The final plan is expected to go before City Council for approval or changes sometime next year.
