Matt Hicks joined First National Bank of NWA as vice president, commercial lender and team leader at the Fayetteville branch at 2638 E. Joyce Blvd., Suite 1. He has 12 years of banking experience and was a commercial loans market manager and market president. He earned an MBA from Harding University and received his Bachelor of Science from Arkansas State University. Hicks is board chairman for the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA, past chairman of the United Way Generation GIVE campaign and a graduate of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Class XXII.

Brad Stewart, pretreatment manager for Springdale Water Utilities, received the Arkansas Water Environment Association Pretreatment Professional of the Year Award during the recent annual Arkansas Water Works & Water Environment Association conference in Hot Springs. Stewart has been pretreatment manager for Springdale Water Utilities for more than five years. He is vice chairman of the Arkansas Water Works & Water Environment Association’s Northwest District.

Dorothy “Dot” Neely, education coordinator for Beaver Water District, received the Arkansas Water Works & Water Environment Association’s Educator of the Year Award during the group’s annual conference in Hot Springs. Neely’s focus is education programs and outreach.

Shawn Dorman, distribution director for Springdale Water Utilities, received the Arkansas Water & Water Environment Association’s Collection Systems Award during the annual conference in Hot Springs. Dorman began his career with Springdale Water Utilities in 1989 and has licenses in Class IV Water Treatment, Class IV Water Distribution and Class I Wastewater Treatment.

Larry Oelrich, Prairie Grove’s public-works director, was named Arkansas Water Works & Water Environment Association Mike Thomason Wastewater Manager of the Year for outstanding leadership in the wastewater field. Oelrich is responsible for operations of the Prairie Grove water and wastewater utilities, supervision and operation of street department, solid waste and recycling department, parks and recreation department, building and inspection department, planning and zoning administrator, and business and administrative coordinator.

Scott Stubblefield, county administrator for Sebastian County, was elected president of the Arkansas Public Fleet Managers Association during its annual conference held May 12-13 in Little Rock. The association is an industry group for Arkansas and surrounding states’ public sector fleet personnel and related industry service providers.
