The Prairie Grove Aquatic Park will open today.
"I think we have one of the nicer aquatic centers around," said Larry Oelrich, director of Prairie Grove Public Works and Administrative Services. "It's a great pool and a good place to hang out in the afternoons."
The park features a 300,000-gallon, zero-entry main pool, a plunge pool that has a 185-foot and 165-foot swirling water slides and a kiddie pool that is 2 feet deep, Oelrich said.
The pool is located 10 minutes west of Fayetteville. Last summer, the park had 23,000 visitors, Oelrich said.
