Hundreds of people on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram have posted adoring comments with a mug shot photo of a Little Rock woman arrested on accusations of failing to show up to court.

Posts using the hashtag #prisonbae" spiked Friday after the New York Daily News posted a story about the attention Little Rock's Sarah Seawright has received on social media for her mug shot from an April 28 arrest.

Twitter users posted using the "#prisonbae" hashtag 560 times in the past week, reaching an audience of more than 2 million accounts, according to the analytics website Keyhole.

Seawright, 24, was booked into the Pulaski County jail April 28 on a failure to appear warrant related to a December charge of careless driving and not having insurance, according to jail records.

Her bond was set at $740, and she was not listed on the jail roster Friday. It was not clear when she was released, but the failure to appear charge was dismissed and she was found guilty on the traffic charges earlier this month, court records show.

Seawright did not immediately respond to an email requesting comment Friday.

On her personal social media accounts, Seawright appears to have embraced the attention. Her Instagram account includes the description "Favorite Prison Bae" and an email address for "Booking Inquiries."

On Twitter, she has retweeted dozens of messages from people offering to bail her out of jail, as well as marriage proposals.

One post on Instagram includes the caption "F*** the judge."

Court records show Seawright has faced several traffic violations prior to her December citation.

In 2014, she was charged with aggravated robbery, first-degree battery and hindering apprehension. Prosecutors dropped the first two charges, and Seawright was given five years probation on the hindering apprehension charge, according to court records.

A man told police in Bryant that Seawright had given him a ride and drove behind a Target, where another man robbed the passenger at gunpoint before fleeing in the car with Seawright, according to a police report.

Pulaski County sheriff's spokesman Capt. Carl Minden said Friday he had received several calls from people inquiring about Seawright.

Speaking personally, Minden said he didn't agree with the attention her mug shot has received.

"That's the downside" of publicly posting mug shot photos, Minden said. "People might not use it for the right purposes."
