Summer shindigs raise money for varity of organizations

The benefit for the Ronald McDonald House Family Room at Mercy in Rogers will include heavy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, high-end silent auction and piano bar-style music by Patrick Hall, American Idol season 5, top 24 finisher. The organization will honor Dr. Randall Black, Dr. John Lee and Dr. James Ragland with the Taylor Award, in memory of Taylor McKeen Shelton. Tickets for the event are $75. Pig Trail Mud Run 5K

4 8 a.m. -- The Springdale Rotary Club will hold its fourth annual Pig Trail Mud Run 5K fundraiser on an undeveloped, rustic portion of the Ecclesia College campus in Springdale. This year's event will also feature the one-mile run Piglet Challenge for children ages 8 to 13. 4 6:30-9:30 p.m. -- Arts Live Theatre will play host to the "Laugh Out Loud" gala at the Fayetteville Town Center, to benefit the theater group's arts education program and scholarship fund. 9 6 p.m. -- The 2016 Art of Wine festival to benefit the Walton Arts Center will begin with the Winemaker's Dinner on the stage of the center's Baum Walker Hall. 10 7 p.m. -- Uncorked: Friday Night Tasting at the arts center will offer a selection of more than 400 wines from around the world and food from area restaurants. Tickets are $80.

11 6 p.m. -- The Premier Tasting will give guests an opportunity to sample premium wines and heavy hors d'oeuvres, with a selection of silent auction items. Tickets are $150.

11 7 p.m. -- Marilyn and Jim Necessary will be the Honorary Cowgirl and Cowboy at the 23rd annual Barn Dance fundraiser for Horses for Healing at the riding center's covered arena in Bentonville. The outdoor event will include a barbecue dinner, silent auction, live country music, the "Original Butt Sketch Artist" and opportunities to sponsor ponies.
