The University of Arkansas System board has unanimously approved the incorporation of two community colleges.
After the vote Thursday, Rich Mountain Community College in Mena and Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock are now a part of the system, bringing the UA System's total of community colleges to seven.
Pulaski Tech's board voted unanimously May 11 to merge with the UA System while Rich Mountain's board voted unanimously in favor of its merger on April 26.
The final approval hinged on the UA board's approval Thursday at its meeting in Nashville. The trustees earlier in the morning approved tuition and fee increases.
