Frank Blowers of Siloam Springs was promoted to maintenance supervisor for Beaver Water District. Blowers started in facilities maintenance at the water district in 2003 and holds Grade IV water operators treatment and distribution licenses. He’s a member of the American Water Works Association, the Southwest Section of American Water Works Association, the Northwest District of the Arkansas Water Works & Water Environment Association, Deihl Toastmasters and Beaver Water District’s Top Ops Team.

Carl Grimes of Confidential Business Intermediaries/ The CBI Team headquartered in Northwest Arkansas was a workshop leader at the recent International Business Brokers Association conference in Orlando, Fla. Grimes spoke on the topic, “The Structured Seller Interview (or how Mayo Clinic saved my life and influenced my career as a professional business intermediary).”

Kent Williamson was named president and CEO of Arvest Bank in Springdale. He has served as loan manager for Arvest Bank in Springdale since 1999. He joined Arvest as a commercial banker in 1992 after working as a bank examiner for the Arkansas Bank Department since 1989. Williamson earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and banking at the University of Arkansas in 1988, graduated from National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma in Norman in 1994 and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 1997. Williamson serves on the board for the United Way of Northwest Arkansas.

David Goodman, LPN, was recently honored with a Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses during a Hospital Week picnic at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith. Goodman was nominated for the award by the family of a former patient. He also received a sculpture called “A Healer’s Touch,” hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.

Michael A. Martz, Bentonville attorney, joined the Fayetteville campus office of the University of Arkansas Office of the General Counsel. He will assist in drafting and reviewing contracts and leases for the campus. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas in computer science and a Master of Laws degree in intellectual property and technology law from Washington University in St. Louis. Martz serves on the boards of Northwest Arkansas Head Start Human Services and Northwest Arkansas Senior Services, and as a member of the Northwest Arkansas Community College Paralegal Advisory Board.
