Michael Scott Haddock, 26, is being held in the Baxter County jail in Mountain Home in lieu of $100,000 bond.

Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery said deputies responded to a call at 12:20 a.m. Wednesday about a person trapped under a vehicle at a house at 8649 Arkansas 14 in Big Flat in southern Baxter County. When they arrived, they found Brandy Lynn Honeycutt, 26, dead.

Honeycutt lived at the home, and a person at the house told deputies that he and Haddock were helping Honeycutt change a flat tire when a jack slipped and pinned Honeycutt under the car. Another witness gave conflicting information, Montgomery said.

Deputies determined from physical evidence that Honeycutt had been struck by the car and run over.

Montgomery said Haddock walked to a relative's house about a mile away but did not contact emergency personnel. Honeycutt's husband, who had been asleep inside the residence, was awakened, told what happened and he called 911, Montgomery said.

Deputies reported that when the vehicle was lifted off Honeycutt, all of the tires were fully inflated. A sheriff's office helicopter also flew over the area so a deputy could take aerial photographs, and evidence suggested that Haddock, who admitted to driving the car, had been "operating the vehicle in a hazardous manner," Montgomery said.
