Jacqueline Young, 36, was arrested Tuesday on one count of Medicaid fraud after surrendering to the Phillips County sheriff's office, Rutledge said in a news release. She was released on her own recognizance, according to the release.

According to an affidavit by Rhonda Swindle, an investigator with the attorney general's Medicaid fraud-control unit, Young was hired to provide help to a Medicaid recipient with daily living tasks under the Independent Choices program.

Young stopped providing the services July 14, but continued billing the Medicaid program through Oct. 5, Swindle said in the affidavit.

She wrote that Young admitted to billing for services she didn't provide "due to needing money."
