Blytheville man shot, killed while driving in car, police say

Blytheville police are investigating the death of a man who was killed Friday night while driving in his car, a spokesman for the police department said.

Authorities said 34-year-old Jeffery Richardson was shot at 10 p.m. in the 200 block of South Lilly Street. After Richardson was hit, his vehicle continued forward until it crashed in the 100 block of South Holland Street, spokesman Scott Adams said.

Richardson was taken to Great River Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, according to a news release from the police department.
