Trout group to teach fishing

A free fly-fishing clinic for women will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Illinois River Watershed Partnership Learning Center in Cave Springs. The clinic will cover the basics of fly-fishing, knots, flies and casting. Equipment is provided or students may bring their own. Lunch is provided. Bowhunters set two shoots

Cherokee Bowhunters will host a 3-D target shoot Saturday at the Fort Crow- der archery range east of Neosho, Mo. All archers are welcome. Hobbs to host fly-fishing class

A fly-fishing class will be offered from noon to 4 p.m. May 15 at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area. Students will learn the basics of fly-fishing and fly casting, types of fishing flies, knots and tips on buying equipment. All materials are provided. Cost is $35. The minimum age is 12 years old.
