A 17-year-old boy is being held in lieu of $1 million bond in the death of a 73-year-old man near Lake City, the Craighead County sheriff's office said Monday.
Jacob Craig was charged with first-degree murder as an adult in the death of Jimmy Hall after a probable-cause hearing Monday morning before Craighead District Judge Keith Blackman. Craig is being held in the Craighead County jail.
Deputies were summoned to a home on Craighead County Road 801 near Lake City on Friday afternoon, where they found Hall dead from apparent stab wounds, Craighead County Sheriff Marty Boyd said in a news release. Craig was arrested Sunday.
