Wedding vows were exchanged by Sommer Elizabeth Richesin and Lucas Conerly Ballard at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Oxford University United Methodist Church in Oxford, Miss. The Rev. John Dennis Daniels officiated.

Parents of the bride are Beth and Dr. John Davis Handley of Madison and Emily and Charles Ross Richesin Jr., 11901 Fairway Drive. Her grandparents are David and the late Mary Ellen Kahlstorf of Jackson, Miss.; the late Carolyn and Charles Richesin of Little Rock; the late Alice and James Crutchfield Jr. of Malvern; and the late Jane Anne Handley of Picayune, Miss.

The groom is the son of Beverly and Richard Preston Ballard of Louisville, Miss. His grandparents are Ruby and Edward Ballard of Pickensville, Ala., and Joyce and William Sullivan of Louisville.

The altar held two arrangements of eucalyptus, hydrangea and white roses.

The bride, given in marriage by her father and her stepfather, wore an ivory Alencon lace gown and carried a bouquet of white roses.

Matron of honor was Keli Ballard of Madison. Bridesmaids were Jamie Ballard of Madison; Cara Clark of Birmingham, Ala.; Elisabeth Golson of Chattanooga, Tenn., sister of the groom; Anna Lacoste, Courtney Pack and Anne-Elizabeth Wynne, all of Little Rock; Kerrie-Taylor Leech of Nashville; and Emily Sanders of Oxford.

Sophie Lichina and Olivia Lichina of Gibsonia, Pa., cousins of the bride, were flower girls. Ring bearers were Sutton Ballard of Madison, nephew of the groom, and Nathan Lichina of Gibsonia, cousin of the bride.

The father of the groom was best man. Groomsmen were William Ballard and Dane Ballard, both of Madison and brothers of the groom; Nicholas Duty and Phillip Foster, both of Louisville; Chaney Paschal of Starkville, Miss.; Johnathon Stevens of Birmingham; Charles Richesin III of Little Rock, brother of the bride; and John Young of Bristol, Va. Guests were seated by Russell Adams of Pensacola, Fla.; Daniel Hines of Little Rock; and Robert White III of Nashville, Tenn.

A reception at Powerhouse Community Arts Center in Oxford followed the ceremony.

The bride graduated from the University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders. She will graduate in May from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a clinical doctorate in audiology. She is completing her pediatric clinical fellowship at Arkansas Children's Hospital.

The groom is a graduate of University of Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in managerial finance. Before moving to Little Rock, he was manager of leasing at Taylor Leasing Corp. in Louisville.

The couple will reside in Little Rock and plan a wedding trip to Europe.
