A Carlisle man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Lonoke County, according to Arkansas State Police.
A police report states that Thomas Smith, 54, died when the 2003 Ford Ranger he was driving westbound on U.S. 70 just east of Carlisle ran off the road and into a ditch.
The accident occurred about 10:45 a.m., and travel conditions at the time of the crash were described as wet and rainy.
