Bard on the boards

The Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre opens its hour-long, family friendly production of William Shakespeare's Twelfth Night at 2 p.m. today, with additional performances at 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday in the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall, University of Central Arkansas, 201 Donaghey Ave., Conway. Tickets are $10. Call (866) 810-0012 or visit arkshakes.com.

The show is also touring the state, with a performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Farmers Market Pavilion, 121 Orange St., Hot Springs, under the auspices of the Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance. Doors open at 6:30, the pre-show starts at 7 and there will be a talk-back with the company following the show. Sponsors include Entergy, the City of Hot Springs and the Arkansas Arts Council. Church 'sandwich'

The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program will tour All Souls Church, 4701 Walkers Corner Road, Scott, at noon Friday, part of its monthly "Sandwiching in History" series. Little Rock architect Charles L. Thompson designed the 1906 interdenominational church in the Gothic Revival style. The tour will also feature a brief lecture; participants are encouraged to provide their own lunches. Admission is free.
