Rep. Womack hears frustration at Lowell forum

Rep. Steve Womack of Rogers faced a crowd of frustrated constituents in a forum in Lowell on Wednesday.

The crowd of at least 40 demanded to know why Republican priorities were not being enacted. Womack told them repeatedly that there was still a Democratic president with a large minority in the Senate.

"All I've heard since I came in here is what you can't do," said Roy Lietzau of Bella Vista.

The forum was held at Lowell City Hall, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Things will get worse if the GOP loses the next presidential election, and the next appointments to the U.S. Supreme Court that go with it, Womack said.
