Victim identified in Little Rock's 16th homicide

Police identified the man found shot to death in southwest Little Rock on Monday afternoon as a 37-year-old from the city and said a College Station man is a suspect in the homicide.

According to a police report released late Monday, Walter Marlon was found on the ground in front of a house in the 9700 block of Collie Drive earlier that afternoon. He was pronounced dead later at Baptist Health Medical Center.

The report said Marlon lived at a home on Brenda Circle, which is near Wakefield Park, about 3 miles northeast of the shooting scene.

A man who goes by Cortez or "Tez" was listed as the suspect, though a description of his appearance was not included in the report.
