FAYETTEVILLE -- A man who raped a 5-year-old girl was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday.

Warren Robert Oleson Jr., 31, of Rogers pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and one count of failure to register as a sex offender. The rapes occurred in Springdale, according to police.

Washington County Circuit Judge Mark Lindsay sentenced Oleson to a total of 80 years at the Arkansas Department of Correction with 55 years suspended.

Police received a tip in August about a girl who had been sexually assaulted by Oleson, according to a police report.

Oleson did not register as a sex offender when he moved to a home on Friendship Road in Springdale, according to police.

The girl used dolls to show investigators what Oleson did to her, according to the police report.

A medical examination of the girl showed she had injuries consistent with being sexually assaulted, according to police.

Oleson has a history of rape, sexual assault and failure to register as a sex offender, according to police.

Oleson was convicted of second-degree sexual assault of a boy in New Jersey, according to Rogers police. In Rogers, Oleson was listed as a level one sex offender, considered the lowest risk to the public.
