Jarrion Lawson is one of five nominees in the Best Male College Athlete category for the ESPYs.

Lawson, who recently exhausted his collegiate eligibility at Arkansas, won four individual national titles for the Razorbacks as a senior.

After winning the long jump at the NCAA Indoor Championships, he won the 100 meters, 200 meters and long jump outdoors. He was also part of Arkansas' third-place 400 meter relay team.

His 31.5 points are a modern-day record and most since Jesse Owens scored 40 in 1936.

Lawson is also one of 10 semifinalists for The Bowerman, an award given to the top male and female track & field athlete. He is expected to be named one of three finalists for the award Friday.

Other nominees for the ESPY include Alabama football's Derrick Henry, Oklahoma basketball's Buddy Hield, Stanford soccer's Jordan Morris and Oklahoma State wrestling's Alex Dieringer.
