A 33-year-old Springdale woman was killed Thursday morning in a wreck on Interstate 49 near Lowell, according to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash report.
The woman was identified as Samantha B. Wender, according to the report.
Wender was driving north on I-49 when she lost control of her 2002 Hyundai, overcorrected and hit a northbound Freightliner truck, according to the report. Both vehicles came to a stop in a ditch on the east side of the interstate.
The driver of the truck was not identified in the report, and no other injuries were reported.
Conditions were clear and dry at the time of the wreck, according to the report.
