ASU's opener moved
Arkansas State's 2016 season opener is being moved up a day, Coach Blake Anderson said Sunday night.
Anderson first told high school players at Sunday's All-Arkansas Camp that ASU's opener against Toledo at Centennial Bank Stadium in Jonesboro has been moved to Friday, Sept. 2. He later confirmed it to a handful of reporters after the camp, saying the game will kick off at 8 p.m. and be televised on one of ESPN's networks.
The game will be one of two for ASU on a Friday night this season and one of five so far to be televised on a national network. ASU will also play at Utah State on Sept. 18, a Friday night, and that game will be on CBS Sports Network. ASU will play Georgia Southern on Oct. 5 on ESPN2, while games at Georgia State on Nov. 3 and at Troy on Nov. 17 will both be on ESPNU.
