Members of the Fayetteville Police Department investigate a shooting Friday at the E-Z Mart at Wedington Drive and Rupple Road.

Police said late Friday afternoon they believe the shooter is Martesh Logan, 21, of Fayetteville. He hadn't been caught as of 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to a post on the department's Facebook page.

Logan fled west on Wedington Drive, Stout said. Police are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 479-587-3555.

"The victim and the suspect are known to each other and there is no known threat to anyone else in the area," said Sgt. Craig Stout, spokesman for the Fayetteville Police Department.

Stout said the person who was shot was pumping gas when the shooter pulled up. An argument started before the shots were fired around 11:30 a.m., Stout said.

One bullet hit the victim's wrist Stout said. Another shot hit a vehicle driving east on Wedington, and glass broken by the gunshot injured a 17-year-old girl, Stout said.

The injuries are not life-threatening, Stout said.
