FAYETTEVILLE -- The city has a new emergency notification provider for residents.
CodeRed will replace the old notification system, Everbridge, on Wednesday. Residents who registered for the old system will be rolled in to the new one, according to a city news release.

People registered with CodeRed will get notifications through their cellphone or landline about emergency weather events, such as tornado, severe thunderstorm and flash-flood warnings, or boil orders, terrorism alerts or hostage situations. Users can customize what type of notification they would like to receive, whether it be phone call, text or email, and update their information.
CodeRed provides only emergency alerts. For non-emergency alerts, go to the city's website, fayetteville-ar.gov, and click on "alerts & notifications" under the "services" tab.
To sign up for the service, go to coderedweb.com and click on "resident enrollment" at the top of the page. Or search for the CodeRed app on the Google Play or iTunes stores.
