A Rogers man died 10 days after being injured a single-vehicle crash earlier this month and developing pneumonia as a result, according to Arkansas State Police.
In a preliminary report released Tuesday, state police said the accident occurred at 6:05 p.m. July 4 when Karl Weitzmann, 61, lost control of his 2004 Ford F-250 while traveling south on Interstate 49, causing his truck to strike a temporary concrete barrier.
Weitzmann later developed a lung infection and was pronounced dead July 14 by the Benton County coroner, according to authorities.
