Austin Blacklaw - Eagle Scout

Austin Blacklaw, 18, is the son of Todd and Becky Blacklaw of Bryant. He is a member of Troop 99 at Salem United Methodist Church in Benton. For his Eagle Project, Austin built a flower garden box for Hill Farm Elementary School in Bryant.

Reagan Eades - Eagle Scout

Harley Hylton, 18, is the son of Bill and Marsha Hylton of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 7705 at Catholic High School for Boys in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Harley built a bench and a directional sign for the River Mountain Trail near Two Rivers Park in Little Rock.

Zachary Holder, 17, is the son of James and Miki Holder of Greers Ferry. He is a member of Troop 200 at United Methodist Church in Heber Springs. For his Eagle Project, Zachary built and installed eight artificial mossback fish habitat-attractors in strategic locations on Greers Ferry Lake.

Gavin O'Cain, 17, is the son of Lena Adams and Shane O'Cain of North Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 18 at First United Methodist Church in North Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Gavin built and placed 10 new nesting boxes for wood ducks on Mound Lake at Toltec State Park.

Parker Brannon, 17, is the son of Gregg and Misty Brannon of Maumelle. He is a member of Troop 295 at First United Methodist Church of Maumelle. For his Eagle Project, Parker pressure-washed the sidewalks and curbs and re-painted all the handicapped and visitor parking spaces at First United Methodist Church of Maumelle.

Matthew McGhee, 18, is the son of Mark and Shelly McGhee of Little Rock. He is a member of Troop 29 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock. For his Eagle Project, Matthew built a 26-foot wooden bridge out of repurposed lumber at the Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Ferndale.

Reagan Eades, 12, is the son of Jeff and Tracy Eades of Jefferson. He is a member of Troop 108 at the East End Community Fire Station. For his Eagle Project, Reagan organized volunteers to paint an entire deck and wheelchair-accessible walkway for the I Can Arts and Resource Center in East End.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette would like to recognize the accomplishments of new Eagle Scouts by publishing their profiles and pictures.
