First Baptist Church in Bentonville, 200 S. Main St., presents its 14th annual Clothing Giveaway from 7 a.m. to noon Aug. 6 in the church’s Family Life Center.

Donations of new and gently used clothes and shoes will be collected from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 2-4 in the Family Life Center. Children’s clothing and shoes are a special need.

Rogers First Church of the Nazarene, 4911 W. Pleasant Grove Road, presents an emergency preparedness seminar for places of worship Aug. 27. The event is hosted by Security Preparedness Solutions. Vendors open at 7:30 a.m., and the seminar sessions from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $50, and includes a catered lunch.

Breakout sessions include question and answers with local police chiefs, using security technology in a church, starting a safety team, response to acts of violence and active shooters.

The Neighborhood Church in Bentonville, 2003 SW. Regional Airport Road, plans for just one service at 10:40 a.m. Sunday to welcome home the church’s mission team to Guatemala. The group leaves the church this afternoon, and will give a presentation about their experience July 31.

Bella Vista United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, celebrates the installation of its new pastor, the Rev. Karen Fowler-Lindemulder, at 4 p.m. July 31. Bishop Mike Girlinghouse will preside. A reception follows in Luther Hall.

The Presbyterian Church of Bella Vista, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts a back to school brunch at 8:30 a.m. today, sponsored by the missions and fellowship committees. Zane Vanderpool, principal of Glenn Duffy Elementary School in Gravette, will speak. Those who attend are asked to bring donations of school supplies for the Gravette schools.
