Four crashes across the state killed six people over the weekend and injured three others, according to state and local police.

A head-on crash early Sunday near the shore of Lake Hamilton killed a driver and his passenger, Hot Springs police said in a statement.

Elbert Kemp of Malvern was driving fast on Albert Pike Road when he lost control of his Mitsubishi Eclipse on a curve near the Bull Bayou Bridge, according to the statement. The car crossed onto the other side of the road and hit a sidewalk before colliding with Blake Reynolds' Chevrolet truck going the opposite direction, police said.

The Mitsubishi hit the bridge's guardrail before flipping over it and landing upright in Lake Hamilton, ejecting Kemp. He was pronounced dead at the scene along with his passenger, Devin Wilson of Hot Springs. Reynolds, also of Hot Springs, was taken to CHI St. Vincent hospital for injuries that weren't life-threatening.

In Washington County, Aaron Jacob Kildrow was driving on Arkansas 265 south of Hogeye around 11:15 p.m. Saturday when he veered off the road. The 2015 Chevrolet Sonic he was driving hit a tree, killing Kildrow, a 21-year-old from Fayetteville, and his passenger, Kylee Marie Marrs, a 20-year-old from Springdale, according to an Arkansas State Police report. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Conditions were clear and dry Saturday evening when Austin Zachary Graves ran off Arkansas 5 in White County, according to a police report. Graves, an 18-year-old from Quitman, overcorrected and crossed the centerline, where a 2011 Chevrolet collided with the 2008 Hyundai he was driving, according to the report.

Emily Lauren Ray, a 20-year-old from Beebe who was riding in Graves' vehicle, died. Graves and the Chevrolet driver, 30-year-old Phillip Charles Anthony of Austin, were taken to White County Medical Center for their injuries, according to the report.

And in Shady Grove, Venisa Lynn Jones ran off Arkansas 69 around 3 p.m. Saturday. She overcorrected and crossed into incoming traffic, where a Ford ran into the passenger side of the 2008 Nissan she was driving, according to a police report.

Jones, a 52-year-old from Harrisburg, was taken to St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, where she died, according to the report.
