Professional and amateur artists submitted works for the event’s silent auction and contest.

Awards for their art went to:

• Anthony Davis, “Suds” — Professional.

• Chandler Hiatt, “Trout” — Amateur.

• Karolyn Farrell, “European Cottages” — People’s Choice.

The group is kicking off the “Reach for the Stars” Legacy Appeal fundraising campaign, which has a goal of raising $350,000 to help support Youth Bridge’s programs.

The group’s largest program is the school-based counseling program, reaching 4,200 students annually in 20 area school districts.

Nancy Hairston, marketing, outreach and development director, said the the nonprofit organization will add a fourth to its residential programs with the opening of Bell House for Girls later this month for “youth that are in the foster care system or without any type of permanent placement.”

Those out for a Starry, Starry Night included Jennifer and Darryl Rhoda, executive director, Kathie and Peter Hamilton, Karolyn and Don Farrell, Azu Denton, Lori and Steve Collins, Denise Garner, Deb Euculano and Lynn Carver.

Jan and Gary Griffin welcomed some 600 guests to their home on June 18 for the 25th annual Garden Party: Enchanted Forest. The Friends of Washington Regional Hospice benefit helped raise more than $125,000.

The evening featured live music by Oreo Blue, live, premium and silent auctions and a wine and spirits pull.

Those enjoying an enchanting evening included Sheri Rothwell and Woody Bassett, Carl Collier, Nancy and Jim Blair, Jeanne Cole, Athina and Gary McClendon, Laura and Craig Underwood, Jordan Roehrenbeck, Susan Chase-Bakker and Johnny Bakker, Johnny Mike Walker, Mandy Macke, Marcheita and Mike Anderson and Tammy and Carl Shipley.

The 14th annual Summer Salsa on that same evening at the Fayetteville Town Center brought in more than $110,000 for EOA Children’s House.

Children’s House is a “therapeutic, child-development and crisis-intervention center” for children 6 weeks old through 5 years old who are victims of physical, emotional and sexual abuse and life-threatening neglect. Children receive occupational, physical and speech therapies, counseling and family therapy.

The evening featured the third annual NWA Salsa Tasting Competition with Mangos Gourmet Taco Shop taking top honors. Other salsa competitors included Tacos for Life, La Morenita, Big Sexy Food, Acapulco Mexican Grill, Azul Tequila and Jose’s.

Among those out for a night of salsa were Gracie and Mike Ziegler, Courtney and Levon Ogden, Laura and Kyle Kellams, Casey Jones, Sara and Kent Starr, Deborah and Don Harris, Eva Madison and Dave Pieper, Erica Preston, Sarah Slocum Collins and Ryan Collins, Lauren Marquette and Daniel Balls, Tyler Clark, Jo and Randy Butram and Lynette and Jim Terrell.
