Arron Johnson, 22, of Pine Bluff was arrested in Little Rock and transported to Pine Bluff by detectives, according to Pine Bluff police. Police didn't release any further information surrounding his arrest.

Police named Johnson as a suspect Wednesday in the slaying of Leonard Buie Jr. Police said Buie, the owner of Buie's Grocery at 3200 Port Road, was killed at 2:30 a.m. Jan. 8. Police responded to a report of a shooting and discovered Buie's body behind the store.

There were items missing from Buie's body and the slaying was likely the result of a robbery, police said. The grocery store had been closed, but Buie lived in a residence above the store.

Buie's death was Pine Bluff's first homicide of 2016.
