Fayetteville used a 17-0 second quarter run to erase an early Rogers High lead and Maya Mayberry led 10 players in the scoring column with 14 points.

Fayetteville trailed by five going to the second quarter, but the Lady Bulldogs made 6 of 9 shots during the run to take a 28-17 lead at halftime. Fayetteville made 11 3-pointers in the game, including four in the second quarter.

Jasmine Franklin was also in double figures for Fayetteville with 10 points while Grayce Spangler finished with nine points after hitting three 3-pointers.

"We shot the ball really well tonight," said Fayetteville coach Vic Rimmer. "It's been a steady progression shooting the three from December to know. We were making three, four a game and then five, six a game. I thought our kids were unselfish. They were driving the lane and seeing those kick outs."

Rogers took a 13-8 lead to the second quarter when Samantha Brown beat the buzzer with a layup. But that momentum didn't last long.

Spangler opened the second quarter with a 3-pointer and DaShundra Morgan and Lauren Holmes hit back-to-back 3-pointers for a 21-13 Lady Bulldogs lead. A layup by Haley Ratcliff ended the run with Fayetteville in command with a 25-13 lead.

After shooting 5 of 6 from the field in the first quarter, Rogers was just 1 of 6 from the field in the second quarter. The Lady Mounties also turned the ball over seven times in the second quarter, including on four straight possessions. Fayetteville scored 13 points off Rogers turnovers in the second quarter.

Fayetteville then opened the second half with two 3-pointers during an 8-0 run to pull away.

Madison Sandor led Rogers (9-10, 2-4) with 13 points while Elise Randels added 11 points.

"It just snow balled on us," said Rogers coach Preston Early. "They got some turnovers in a row and converted. Fayetteville scored from so many spots. Fayetteville is starting to get it together. They are good."
