TEXARKANA -- Bail was set at $100,000 on Tuesday for a woman arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a 17-year-old Foreman High School student over the weekend.

Tracie Dierks, 41, of Wallace in Little River County was not formally charged Tuesday morning because officials were waiting for results from a toxicology test.

Caitlin L. Caskey of Ashdown was fatally shot Saturday night during a birthday party at a home in Wallace. Dierks lives at the residence where the shooting occurred, Arkansas State Police spokesman Bill Sadler said Monday.

Caskey was pronounced dead at the scene by coroner Roddy Smith. She was shot once in the upper body, according to reports from 9th Judicial District Prosecutor Bryan Chesshir.

Dierks waved and fired an AR-15 during the party, officials said.

"The gun went off in a roomful of kids," Chesshir said.
