Regional growth was visible in sales tax received by cities in January.
Springdale received $1,047,853, up 7.9 percent over 2015 January receipts.
Rogers received $1,351,292, up 7.3 percent over 2015 January receipts.
Fayetteville received $1,672,933, up 7.2 percent over 2015 January receipts.
Bentonville was down 14.6 percent with reciepts of $721,889. The city was up overall in a January to January comparison. Business rebates of sales tax do not necessarily fall in the month where items were purchased. City officials have noted in the past that rebates account for the up and down motion of monthly sales tax receipts in Bentonville.
Sales tax remitted to cities in January represent taxes collected in November.
