Keith DeMars joined Washington Regional as director of nutrition services. He graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, N.Y., with a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts and food service management. He earned credentials as a Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Service Sanitation Manager and Certified ServSafe Production Manager. DeMars was director of nutrition and dining service at Greenville Health System in Greenville, S.C.

Dr. Vijay Kannam opened Sparks Clinic Family Medicine at 2010 Chestnut, Suite H in Van Buren. He recently earned his family medicine degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and completed training for a master of public health degree at Missouri State University in Springfield. Kannam was a public health intern and volunteer at the Arkansas Department of Health in Little Rock for three years.

Heather Beauford, RN, a charge nurse in the emergency department at Washington Regional Medical Center, achieved certification in emergency nursing. Beauford has been a nurse at Washington Regional for five years and has more than 10 years of nursing experience. She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Arkansas Tech University. She has several life support certifications and completed the Trauma Nursing Core Course and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course.

Kristina Fomina, RN, a charge nurse in the emergency department at Washington Regional Medical Center achieved certification in emergency nursing. Fomina has 10 years of nursing experience and joined Washington Regional in 2014. She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Arkansas. She has several life support certifications and completed the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course.

Matt Potter joined Arvest Bank in Springdale as a treasury management adviser at the Emma Avenue location. He started at Arvest as a parttime teller in Lowell and Rogers while in high school. He worked as a financial services representative until moving into treasury management in 2013. Potter earned his bachelor of science in finance from Missouri State University in Springfield, Mo., in 2010 and a master of business administration from Missouri State University in 2014.
