Nobody who bought a ticket in Arkansas won the top jackpot in Wednesday night's record $1.6 billion drawing, but five tickets worth $100,000 were sold.

And three of those five have already been cashed in.

The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery said each of the five players matched four white balls and the Powerball, a combination that's one number short of the jackpot but worth $50,000. The players each also bought the Powerplay, which in the most recent drawing doubled all non-jackpot prizes.

The lottery said Tracie Cherry of Alexander was the first to cash the prize. She bought the ticket at the Love's Travel Stop in Little Rock off Interstate 30 near Interstate 430.

The lottery said Cherry reported she will pay off her car and save the rest of her winnings.

Kenneth Rettig of Beebe also claimed his $100,000 prize Thursday, lottery officials said.

Rettig purchased the ticket from ANH Enterprises LLS at 2417 W. Center St. in Beebe.

He told lottery officials he will pay off his home with the prize.

And Bryan Pistorius of Little Rock also claimed his winning ticket, which was purchased at Joe's Grocery & Deli at 12223 Colonel Glenn Road in Little Rock. He told lottery officials he'll buy a new truck and "put a little down on a trailer," according to a news release.

The other, as yet unclaimed $100,000-winning tickets were sold at these locations:

  • Crackerbox #1777 at 1640 E. Oak St. in Conway
  • Alexander Petroleum at 13325 1st St. in Alexander

Each store that sold a $100,000-winning ticket is eligible for a $1,000 bonus.

A $50,000 winning ticket was also sold at the Junction Station store at 24109 Arkansas 107 in Jacksonville. The lottery said Cory Nicholson claimed that prize Thursday morning, saying he plans to pay off debts and put the rest into savings.

All six of the state's big winning tickets were bought Wednesday.
