— Arkansas' women are ranked No. 1 in the first poll of the 2016 indoor track season.

The Razorbacks were the top team in the USTFCCCA poll released Wednesday. Georgia is ranked second in the preseason poll, followed by Texas, Kansas State and Oregon.

Arkansas is the defending NCAA champion indoors and returns nine all-Americans from a year ago, including two members of the national champion DMR team, Jessica Kamilos and Therese Haiss, and Taylor Ellis-Watson, who finished runner-up in the 400 meters at the NCAA meet.

The Razorbacks' men are ranked 10th in the preseason poll and fifth among SEC teams.

Both Arkansas teams are scheduled to open the season next Friday with the Arkansas Invitational at Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville.
