• The emergency room of Conway Regional Medical Center was shut down for about seven hours, and 22 people were quarantined Sunday after a patient accidentally squirted pepper spray from a key chain into the air, authorities said. The precautions were taken after a nurse and two patients began coughing and having trouble breathing about 4 a.m. Hospital employees at first didn't know what had caused the reactions, and authorities wanted to make sure the air inside the emergency room was safe. The mystery was unraveled hours later, when authorities watched videotape from a security camera that showed a patient twirling the key chain.
